Yvonne Donnelly-Smith’s career began as a freelance audio and lighting technician at theatres in Dublin. From there she became Hire Manager for Lighting Dimensions (White Light). Joining Light and Sound Design in 1996 Yvonne worked on a variety of one off events across music, television and live events; two years later PRG acquired Light and Sound Design.
Currently Account Manager at PRG, Yvonne works on large music events and festivals including Download, Isle of Wight, Hard Rock Calling, Wireless and Sonisphere. Yvonne also specialises in Concert Touring, including Pink, Tom Jones, Il Divo, Simply Red and The Prodigy. Television and children’s theatre shows are also within her recent portfolio. She is involved in TV shows such as Mercury Music Awards, Teenage Cancer Trust, Brainiac, Top Gear and theatre shows including CBeebies, Milkshake Live and Bob the Builder.
Highlighting her career Yvonne was involved in Live 8, where an estimated 3 billion people watched across the world. Being part of the massive, purposeful event is one of Yvonne’s most significant work over her career.
Whilst not keeping busy with work Yvonne enjoys spending time with her two children, going to the theatre and kickboxing on the weekends.
